“Outcome of presidential poll will shock Nigerians”, Kwankwaso predicts

Presidential candidate of the New Nigeria Peoples Party, (NNPP), Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, has said that Nigerians will be shocked with the outcome of the presidential poll.

The former Kano State Governor, who stated that he will emerge winner at first ballot, denied talks for possible alliance with the presidential candidate of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Atiku Abubakar ahead of the February 25 contest.

Recall that Atiku told the Hausa Service of the British Broadcasting Service, (BBC), that he was holding talks with the candidates of the NNPP and Labour Party(LP) Peter Obi, saying one of them may likely step down and work with him. However, speaking on a television programme, Kwankwaso described such statement as reckless, saying he was not involved in any form of alliance talk with any candidate in the election.

According him, the NNPP remains the only Party in the presidential race that is abreast with the problems of the people, as they have carried their campaign to the grassroots, travelling by road to all cities for their rallies. He said it was unfortunate that well-respected people have decided to go live on national television to tell lies and disgrace themselves in order to sell their candidate.

He further said the NNPP enjoyed being under rated by other parties, adding that he was not in a hurry to become President, adding that the Party has the required number to win the elections on first ballot, and was not considering any form of alliance with any party.
